Royal London Asset Management (RLAM) announces the appointments of Dilawer Farazi, Sunil Patel and Mounia Chaoui Roquai. RLAM’s Global Credit team evolves from the Global High Yield team, which widened its remit with the launch of the Multi Asset Credit Fund in 2017 and is now fully equipped to focus on global corporate credit across the whole rating spectrum.
The new team currently manages £6.3 billion in assets. It is led by Azhar Hussain and is now 10 people strong, including Sebastien Poulin, who was recently promoted to Head of Global Credit Research and Alex Robertson who joins from RLAM’s sterling fixed income team as investment analyst.
Dilawer joins from Loomis Sayles as fund manager and emerging markets specialist. He has worked at an array of institutions as portfolio manager and analyst in both London and the Middle East and started his investment career at Gulf International Bank (GIB) in 2005.
Sunil Patel joins as a senior analyst from Aviva Investors. He was previously at Axa and Insight investment and started his investment career in 2008. Sunil covers the utility, service and industrial sectors. Mounia joins as investment analyst from S&P’s corporate ratings department and covers the broadcasting and technology sectors.
Azhar Hussain commented:
“The external additions to the team give RLAM a solid breadth of expertise across global high yield, leveraged loans and investment grade debt. Corporate credit has never been so attractive and our investment in additional resources, a promotion and an internal hire demonstrate RLAM’s commitment to providing truly diversified options for our clients in this area.”
